Terms, safety & privacy

Product order terms

Version 1.0

These terms govern purchases of finished, made-to-order freeze-dried foods from Possum Pantry.

What we sell
We sell finished freeze-dried food products made from our ingredients in the sizes and with the options shown in the shop. Possum Pantry is a current Texas DSHS cottage food operation, registration #21750, with food handler certification complete. The live shop does not accept, store or process customer-owned food. Placing an order does not guarantee an exact completion time.
Made-to-order products
Production begins after ordering. Ingredient availability, equipment issues and safety or quality checks may delay, change or prevent completion. We may withhold any product that does not meet our standards and will communicate the available resolution.
Payment, changes and cancellation
The price shown at checkout applies to the selected products and options. Changes, cancellations and refunds depend on production status and the policy accepted at checkout.
Local pickup
Completed orders are available for local pickup in Weatherford, Texas, by appointment. We do not publish a home street address. Producer identity on labels is Texas DSHS Cottage Food Registration #21750 (NPAR). Inspect seals, labels, count and condition at pickup and confirm the inspection checklist before leaving; that record may be used if a later dispute is filed. Orders must be collected by the stated deadline; storage charges or disposal may apply after the applicable holding period.
Results and shelf life
Texture, color, rehydration behavior and shelf life vary by product and storage conditions. Shelf-life information is general guidance, not a guarantee.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for a claim relating to an order is limited to the amount paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Allergen and cross-contact notice

Version 1.0

Possum Pantry handles multiple foods on shared equipment and cannot guarantee an allergen-free product.

Shared equipment
Trays, chambers, seals and packaging areas are shared. We use cleaning, scheduling and handling controls, but trace cross-contact cannot be excluded.
Allergens handled
Products made in the facility may contain or contact milk, egg, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, wheat, sesame, fish and shellfish.
Review before eating
Read product information and contact us before ordering if an allergy or sensitivity could make cross-contact unsafe.

Food safety statement

Version 1.0

Freeze drying removes moisture. It is not a kill step and it does not sterilize food.

No sterilization
Freeze drying does not reliably eliminate bacteria, viruses, molds, toxins or allergens. Appropriate cooking and safe handling controls remain necessary.
Products may be withheld
We may withhold, remake or cancel a product when a batch, package or finished item does not meet safety or quality standards.
Storage after pickup
Keep products sealed and follow label directions. Discard food with damaged packaging, moisture intrusion, off odors or other signs of spoilage.
